TWITTER FOLLOWERS: QUALITY VS QUANTITY

Social media is a great way of getting to know people, clients, and exposing your business to other people. One way of doing this is by utilizing a great tool called Twitter.  By writing current and interesting comments you will attract followers from around the world.  This will in turn bring people to your website and other social media tools that you have linked to it. The more followers you get the more noticeable your company will become, thus eventually bringing more clientele, and lots of great new interesting people.

Now you have to ask yourself, do I want to follow just anyone, or just anyone following me. Let’s breakdown what the difference is between the two. Now what is non-quality? Well these are followers that connect with you just to build up there fame. They don’t really care about what you do or what you have to say.

 Now a quality follower is someone who is possibly interested in the same things as you. They want to know what you have to say and possibly learn more from you and what you’re all about. They want to get involved in your daily comments and add to them. When you get lots of these quality followers, you will learn a lot from them as well. You can almost always learn something new from someone else because let’s face it we don’t know everything.

Quality followers can make great business contacts and help you reach out to other businesses. They are also people that have the same interests and aren’t just trying to involve you in some get rich quick scheme. Before following someone have a look at what they tweet about, do they tweet about things that interest you and can you learn something from them. Will they be interested in what you have to tweet about? Quality is different for every individual, so you have to decide what it is for you.
